& THE GYPSY RYDERS
If there were three words to depict the Gypsy Ryders music, they would be: Sexy, tight and hard. Their sound embodies the true essence of rock n roll, and they lay it out like a raging slab of meat – just waiting to be gorged upon and devoured by the masses. They’re bored and they’re bitter. They have endured enough of the banal, and enough of the mediocrity of today’s music industry. They have been scorned and sneered at, red-flagged, and told that “rock n’ roll is dead,” and the Gypsy Ryders’ only rebuttal to this bias is: “We’re here. We rock. And we’re gonna kick some ass!!”
It was the year 2013 when Calgary-born rockers Nikki Valentine (vocals/guitar) and Murray T Handman (guitar) first collided, and it was this alliance that spawned the renegade rockers known as NIKKI VALENTINE & The GYPSY RYDERS. Discovering that their musical ideas were congruent with their music influences, Nikki and Murray merged to become the initial architects of the “Gypsy Ryders” sound. After a few line-up changes, the band is now fully solidified, the bottom-end sculpted with bombastic groove-inspired bass supplied by Marvin ‘the fly’ Kee, and garnished with thunderous backbone drumming, supplied by Connor Williams-Olson. The band is refined, flourishing at lightning pace, and is currently making a noise so loud that even the rock gods themselves must be banging their heads to this colossal vibration.
